ORÉA MAISON
A goldsmith setting a stone in a gold ring held in a clamp at the bench

Your brief

Send us what you have in mind.

Drawings, references, the stone you have or want, the size and the date: everything a piece begins with. We work in 18k yellow gold, and we reply within a working day.

A brief is not a contract and it need not be finished. A few lines and a photograph of something you admire is enough to begin; a full drawing with measurements is welcome. Every piece the house makes is made once, for the person who asked for it, in 18k yellow gold.

The piece

What is it?

Who is it for? (optional)

The gold

The house works in 18k yellow gold only: forged, set and finished by hand at one bench, and hallmarked by an independent Assay Office. What is yours to choose is how it is finished and how it sits in the hand.

Finish (optional)

Weight in the hand (optional)

The stones

From the vault, your own, one we find for you, or none at all.

The stone (optional)

Size and fit

What you know now. Anything else is measured at the first conversation.

UK letter, EU number, or US number; say which.

A wrist, a neck, the length of a drop.

Your drawings and references

A sketch on paper, a drawing on a napkin, photographs of pieces you admire, a page from a book: anything that says what you mean. Mark on them what matters.

Drawings and references

Photographs and PDFs, up to six, four megabytes in all.

Budget and timing

An indication of budget (optional)

Most commissions take eight to fourteen weeks from the approved drawing.

About you

How would you like us to be in touch? (optional)

The details that matter to you: a setting you have seen, a stone's position, an engraving, a hand it must suit.

We use what you send only to think about the piece and reply to you. Nothing is shared, and nothing is made until you are certain.

We read and we draw

One of us reads the brief and looks at every drawing you send. The first conversation is complimentary and without obligation.

A drawing, then a quotation

A pencil sketch made with you, then a rendering to the stone's measurements, and a firm written quotation before anything is made.

Made once, by hand

Forged, set and finished at one bench in 18k yellow gold, hallmarked by an independent Assay Office, and delivered with its papers.
